PRINCE OF SAXE-WEIMAR-EISENACH KILLED
June 9, 2018, Prince Georg-Constantin of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach was killed in a riding accident at Apethorpe Palace, Northamptonshire, UK. He was thrown from a horse and died at the scene.
Prince George-Constantine was the only son of the brother of the Head of the Grand Ducal House of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. Since the Head of the House, Prince Michael Benedikt (born 1946) did not leave any male descendants, his successor, Prince Wilhelm Ernst (born 1946), was proclaimed the heir of the House of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, and after him his only son, Prince Georg-Constantin (1977-2018).
In 2015, Prince Georg-Constantin married Olivia Page (born 1979), but they left no descendants.
In 1986, the only daughter Princess Leonie was born to Prince Michael Benedikt of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, from his second marriage with Dagmar Hennings (born 1945), who (the Princess) is likely to become the heir of the Head of the House of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach after the death of her cousin Prince Georg-Constantin.
