Order of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky
The Order was founded in 1725 by the Imperial Decree of Empress Catherine I.
The Order has one degree.
Signs of the Order:
- a silver eight-pointed star, in the center of which is depicted the monogram of St. Alexander Nevsky and his motto. In special cases, according to the monarch's mercy, can be decorated with diamonds;
- a straight eight-pointed cross of red enamel, in the corners of the cross - gold two-headed eagles, which in special cases, by the grace of the monarch can be decorated with diamonds. The sign of the order is worn on the shoulder ribbon scarlet, through the left shoulder.
The motto of the order: "For Labor and Fatherland".
The total number of people awarded from 1725 is about 3000 people.
